Originally from Minneapolis, my love for the western US began with family camping trips to the National Parks.
After graduating from Iowa State University with a degree in Food Science, I moved to Colorado, beginning a career in hospitality at Keystone Resort. On a long weekend ‘adventure trip’ to Jackson Hole in 1980 I sat on the banks of Jenny Lake and said “If I could live anywhere it would be here!” and eventually that came to be!
In between I moved to Oregon, continuing my hospitality career, working for a Pacific Northwest hotel developer, Inn Ventures Inc., building 15 Marriott hotels during my 20-year employment. I started as a Director of Sales and culminated my tenure as Vice President of Operations.
As a prominent member of the Oregon hospitality community I served on numerous industry boards, Marriott task forces and advisory committees; I also taught national Marriott Sales Training, Negotiation, Management and Guest Service classes.
I received the honor of Oregon Hotelier of the Year in 1994. During my tenure with Inn Ventures, we were Marriott’s most awarded franchisee, winning numerous Guest Service, Employee and Hotel of the Year awards, including being the first company in Marriott history to win ‘Hotel of the Year’ (in the same year) for each of the three brands that we managed.
My business experience honed my skills in management, sales, marketing, negotiation, guest service, human resources and project management, all of which translate nicely into real estate. Always a student, I obtained my MBA from the University of Oregon in 1997.
Upon early retirement, my husband and I (we’re avid fly fisherman and backpackers) decided to build our home in Jackson Hole and I put my business skills to work in real estate. You will discover that I am an excellent communicator and negotiator, have great follow-through, am organized, detail oriented and a good listener. I love helping clients find their perfect home or investment property and work hard to ensure smooth transactions.
I enjoy traveling, cooking, reading, hiking, backpacking, fly fishing and photography. I co-authored the book ‘Fly Pattern’s’ with my husband, Randall, published by our company, Western Fisherman’s Press.
Whether you’re a seasoned real estate investor or a first time buyer - I can make the difference in your real estate experience – I look forward to working with you – let’s get started!
